Child Led In Home Direct Therapy
Child Led In Home Direct Therapy
Our In-Home Direct Therapy program provides compassionate, one-on-one support for children within the safety and comfort of their natural home environment. While our Family Support packages prioritize parent coaching and strategy development , this program focuses on building a genuine connection between the specialist and the child. We utilize a neurodivergent-affirming approach that honors each child's unique profile, focusing on regulatory support and skill-building rather than compliance. This service is ideal for families seeking direct, trauma-informed implementation of supportive strategies.

The program consists of 10 in-home sessions focused on relationship-based support and collaborative growth.
1. Initial Connection & Sensory-Internal Assessment
Duration: 60 minutes
Platform: In-home observation allows us to understand the child's needs within their natural, regulated environment.
Details: The therapist spends the first session "pairing" and building felt-safety with the child. This involves following the child’s lead to understand their communication style, sensory preferences, and strengths.
Goal: Establish a foundation of trust and safety while identifying environmental adjustments that support the child’s well-being.
2. Sessions 2–9: Direct Collaborative Support
Duration: 60 minutes per session
Platform: In-home direct service.
Details: The specialist works directly with the child using neuro-affirming tools. These sessions focus on:
Supporting emotional regulation and co-regulation.
Building self-advocacy and functional communication skills.
Implementing customized, low-demand visual supports and sensory tools in real-time.
Goal: Foster confidence and autonomy through consistent, affirming engagement.
3. Session 10: Progress Celebration & Future Planning
Duration: 60 minutes
Platform: In-home direct service.
Details: A concluding session to celebrate the child’s growth and the specialist’s observations. We review the strategies that best supported the child’s regulation and discuss how to maintain a supportive environment moving forward.
Goal: Ensure the child and family feel empowered and confident in their ongoing journey.
Individualized Engagement: Dedicated time for the specialist to connect deeply with the child, moving at the child's own pace.
Natural Environment Support: Support occurs where the child feels most secure, allowing for authentic interaction.
Customized Affirming Materials: All essential resources (sensory checklists, visual schedules, etc.) are developed to respect the child's individual processing style.
Ongoing Collaboration: Families maintain access to our team for brief consultations via email to ensure the child remains supported between sessions
